I don't - but I found it decidedly mediocre and disappointing compared to BOTW (and Skyrim, and Dark Souls.the list goes on).

This may sound like I really hate the game. I disabled as much of it as I could to avoid eye cancer, and then I missed some things in the game, because it wasn't designed to communicate some things well without UI/text prompts. since I mentioned the UI: it looks like a phone game for a child. Specifically, in BOTW you generally always know you have all the tools to solve any shrine as soon as you leave the plateau, so it's really just about your skill, while in IFR many vaults rely on specific upgrades (and it may not always be clear, unless you keep the noisy warnings enabled in the UI - oh god, don't even get me started on monstrosity of a UI) while some puzzles and vaults were really well designed, overall they did not feel as well designed as BOTW's. why can you not climb most trees - in BOTW climbing trees was a great way to avoid enemies or ambush them not a lot of emergent gameplay, because there are not so many things in the world that can interact with each other basically no NPCs to encounter out in the world, and the world overall feels lifeless (BOTW also is inferior in this regard to games like Skyrim IMO, but IFR is extreme) no weather effects and not a lot of interactivity in the environment In BOTW, stealth is ultimately less powerful because you can never go invisible, but it's much more fun and more immersive and many encounters are designed in a way that encourages a stealthy approach/makes it more viable if you know what you are doing. I love stealth, but stealth in IFR felt pointless before getting invisibility (due to the encounter design), and braindead simplistic after getting invisibility. the world was smaller than BOTW and felt even more so because of how soon you get a horse. Really hammered home to me how well designed the world in BOTW was so you could see something interesting from many locations and you'd just take off in that direction to explore.

It's more like Assassin's Creed, with Eagle Vision, which I was never a big fan of. exploration/discovery does not feel organic in the way it does in Zelda. Stamina in IFR also feels much less limited. In BOTW you have to manage ammo, in IFR you somehow have magically infinite ammo. For instance, in BOTW it takes quite a long time to get a horse you can summon wherever you are, but in IFR it's basically available from the start. in fact, the game in general feels too streamlined/convenient - I like some friction in my games, and I also like the feeling when through hard work you obtain something to remove or mitigate that friction. too light on things like crafting/components - too streamlined compared to BOTW too MMO-y in its mechanics, not to mention the gross micro-transactions.

I'm not a goofy person (cue "you must be fun at parties" jokes if you want), and having to play a character who sounds like a naive idiot offends me. I've also always preferred silent protagonists because a voice is such a personal thing and really affects how you feel about a character (= yourself, in the case of a game's protagonist). Humor is much more powerful when it is used strategically. I generally like a game that mostly takes itself seriously - I don't mind humor, but an RPG shouldn't be all jokes. For NPCs and narration, but also for Fenyx him/herself. Also, why is basically every single weapon glowing in some way? WTF? And breaks immersion completely because none of their buddies notice they just went flying. Most salient example: I sneak up and backstab an enemy, and they somehow fly away. To be fair, I knew this before playing it, but I underestimated how much it would bother me. I don't mind the cell-shaded/comic-y look that both games share, but BOTW has a much more down-to-earth graphics style. too heavy on platforming (BOTW had some, but not much) Obviously a lot of this is my preference, but here we go: I absolutely think it is a great game in some ways (see the end of this post), but I had a lot to criticize.

In the end, I couldn't even bring myself to finish the game. I liked the game on my first impression, but soon got annoyed with more and more aspects I found inferior to BOTW. I have absolutely no issues with a game copying another great game. I also really loved BOTW and I got IFR because I hoped for more of the same.
